Norwich City beat Blackburn Rovers 2-0 at Carrow Road, climbing from 18th to 17th in the Championship.
Anis Ben Slimane smashed home in the 73rd minute, seconds after Oscar Schwartau had rattled the left post. Substitute Mohamed Touré then finished from close range (78.) to give the hosts daylight.
Vladan Kovacevic enjoyed a quiet afternoon as Blackburn Rovers failed to register a shot on target.
The Canaries tallied 12 attempts and 55.5% possession. Blackburn Rovers produced six efforts without working the goalkeeper.
It was a landmark moment for Touré, who joined this season and netted his first goal for the club.
Next up, the Canaries visit Oxford United in the league. Blackburn Rovers travel to Queens Park Rangers.
