Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Fulham winger Adama Traore this summer, with head coach Espirito Nuno Santo keen on reuniting with the attacker.
They worked together at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
According to The Telegraph, “Forest are ready to open talks with Fulham over a potential deal.”
The Tricky Trees are prioritising a move for a winger after losing Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United and Ramon Sosa to Palmeiras.
Nuno hailed Traore as a ‘unique’ footballer and wants to work with him again if Forest can get a deal over the line.
Traore was a potent weapon for Fulham last term and could prove handy for Nottingham Forest.
The 29-year-old bagged twice and created 11 big chances in 36 Premier League appearances (only 18 came as a starter).
His speed on the counter is ridiculous, and he can eliminate defenders with a swivel.
Unfortunately, his inconsistency in the final third is still an issue. He missed seven big chances.
However, the Forest target also records 5.08 progressive carries and 2.44 successful take-ons per 90.
His addition would be exciting for Forest, even though fans will be rightly worried about his end product.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest are closing in on a deal for Dan Ndoye, with talks at an advanced stage and a medical expected later this week.
The Swiss international wants to move to the Premier League. Forest are confident of reaching an agreement with Bologna.
The Serie A club have taken a firm stance, demanding Forest break their transfer record to get the deal done.
Ndoye has already informed Bologna of his desire to join Forest, and personal terms should not be an issue.
He will sign a five-year contract at the City Ground if everything goes to plan.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is now in direct contact with Bologna’s board to push the deal over the line.
