Motsepe Foundation Championship side Cape Town City have confirmed the signing of seasoned midfielder Miguel Timm.
The 33-year-old previously played for Betway Premiership outfit Sekhukhune United, where he arrived on a free transfer in July 2025 following his departure from Orlando Pirates.
Timm featured for just five months with Babina Noko, amassing 14 appearances in all competitions before both parties agreed to part ways as the player sought more consistent minutes on the pitch.
Significantly, Timm becomes the Citizens’ second signing in the current January transfer window, with the club also announcing the arrival of former TS Galaxy striker Dzenan Zajmovic on Sunday.
The forward, who netted 11 goals and provided two assists in 28 matches for the Rockets last season, joins as a free agent after leaving Iranian Persian Gulf Pro League side Zob Ahan.
Zajmovic parted ways with Galaxy at the close of the 2024/25 campaign after contract extension talks broke down between the two parties.
Now, the Cape side saw both players as prime opportunities in the market as they aim to strengthen their push for promotion.
City currently occupy fourth place in the second-tier standings with 22 points from 14 matches, trailing table-toppers Milford FC by five points.
The John Comitis-owned team will travel to face Gomora United at Malamulele Stadium in Limpopo on 23 January, following the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
