Atalanta have officially released Tony D’Amico after four years, so he is ready to take over as director of sport at Roma, replaced in Bergamo by Cristiano Giuntoli.
The summer will not just be exceptionally busy in Serie A with the transfer market for players and coaches, but also a merry-go-round of directors.

As expected, Atalanta announced that they had terminated the contract of director of sport D’Amico by mutual consent.
He had been with La Dea for four years, during which they won the Europa League, but was eager for a new adventure.
Although he had also been linked with Milan, the deal was already done for Roma, where he will reunite with former Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
D’Amico’s place in Bergamo will instead he taken by ex-Juventus and Napoli director Giuntoli, who will work with incoming coach Maurizio Sarri.
Lazio announced this afternoon that Sarri had terminated his contract by mutual consent after just one season.
