Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed injuries to Ousmane Dembélé (28) and Désiré Doué (20). The pair came off injured during France’s 2-0 win over Ukraine on Friday night.
Doué started the match for Les Bleus but was forced off at half-time due to an injury to his left calf. The PSG forward will now miss around four weeks of action, according to a medical report published by the club. It means that he will miss the Classique against Olympique de Marseille, the UEFA Champions League opener against Atalanta, and likely the match against Barcelona, too.
Dembélé replaced Doué at half-time on Friday but succumbed to injury, too. He pulled up just before the 80-minute mark, clutching his right hamstring. The Ballon d’Or favourite is expected to miss around six weeks of action and so could even miss as many as three of PSG’s Champions League fixtures (Atalanta, Barcelona, Bayer Leverkusen). It is a blow for Luis Enrique’s side as they look to defend their UCL title.
