The Austrian - who is into the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park - has been touted as a possible successor to Vincent Kompany in the future.

Glasner has also been earmarked as a potential contender to replace Ruben Amorim if he is sacked by Manchester United.

However, he is ignoring all the speculation around his future and instead focusing on the job at hand with FA Cup and Community Shield winners Palace, who have enjoyed an excellent start to the season and saw a 19-game unbeaten run ended by a dramatic late loss at Everton last time out.

Asked by Austrian news outlet OE24 about managing another Premier League team, Glasner said: “It would be unfair to name a club, because every club has a great coach and a great person.

“I’ve heard a bit about that recently, that someone claimed I actually want to be Bayern Munich coach.

“It amuses me when other people know what I want without having discussed it with me.

“That’s why I'll never make a statement about something like that, because there’s simply a great coach everywhere. Oliver Glasner doesn’t need to add his two cents.

“I follow the media relatively little. I’ve stopped following the media too much, regardless of victory or defeat, because I’ve noticed that a lot of nonsense is being written.

“I hope that I am appreciated as Oliver Glasner, not because I am successful. I, at least, appreciate people based on their character and not on whether they are winning or losing.

“For me, it’s like this: if someone is a good person, they are a good person - regardless of whether they win or lose.”
