Sam Allardyce said Mohamed Salah’s drop in form at Liverpool is mental issue not physical one.

Allardyce gives his view on Salah

Former England manager Sam Allardyce shared his opinion on the recent struggles of Mohamed Salah at Liverpool.

Salah 33 has faced criticism this season after a clear drop in his goal contributions. The Egyptian winger has not been as decisive as in previous years leading to questions about his physical condition and overall impact.

“It’s not a physical problem”

Speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, Allardyce rejected the idea that Salah is struggling physically. He said the numbers still show that Salah works hard and continues to score even if his usual sharpness has slightly faded.

According to Allardyce, the issue is more psychological than physical. He explained that players of Salah’s level sometimes go through periods where confidence drops even if their fitness remains strong.

He added that Salah only needs one goal to change the mood and get back on track.

Salah looks to bounce back

Salah is also aiming to recover after Egypt finished fourth at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The winger was unable to lift the continental trophy and the disappointment may have affected his mindset.

Despite the recent dip, Salah remains one of Liverpool’s key players. His track record over the years shows consistency and strong numbers making him a vital part of the team’s attack.
