One player's first half double propels Porto at Estrela Amadora

Deniz Gül converted a penalty in the 17th minute to set Porto on their way to a 2-1 win over Estrela Amadora.

He struck his spot kick into the top left, taking responsibility from twelve yards to give Porto control during a cagey start.

He then doubled the advantage with a close range header from Alberto Costa's cross (37.), timing his run to meet the delivery and punish the hosts.

Gül finished with two attempts, both on target, and four touches in the penalty area before he was withdrawn just after the hour. The forward's movement across the line continually occupied Estrela Amadora's centre backs and gave Porto a platform before the interval.

Porto remain top of Liga Portugal. They host Alverca next. Estrela Amadora visit Moreirense.
