Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Saturday as they look to earn all three points at home in the Premier League. Spurs suffered a dismal 3-0 loss away at Nottingham Forest recently, so they would be eager to bounce back by putting in a much-improved performance versus the Reds this weekend.

Thomas Frank will opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one tweak to his starting XI for this game. Joao Palhinha could get a chance to play from the start of this contest, while Archie Gray makes way for him and drops to the bench.

Defence

Guglielmo Vicario will feature in between the sticks for Spurs after conceding three goals in his last outing. Cristian Romero will function alongside Micky van de Ven at the heart of the Tottenham backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.

Pedro Porro will fill in as the right-back, while Djed Spence hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

Ben Davies will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Rodrigo Bentancur and Joao Palhinha will operate as the holding midfielders as they look to make life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park.

The talented trio of Randal Kolo Muani, Xavi Simons and Mohamed Kudus will function just ahead of them as part of the Tottenham attack. All three of them need to combine well if Spurs are to come away with a positive result from this weekend.

Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Brennan Johnson will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second half if needed.

Attack

Richarlison will lead the charge for the North London club up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in the final third.

Mathys Tel will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if required.
