Palmeiras have lined up a loan move for Luighi to New York City, of Major League Soccer, until the end of the year, and the forward is in the United States for a medical.
According to Globo.com, the arrangement is worth US$ 300,000 now, includes a US$ 6 million option to buy, and would see Palmeiras retain 20% of any future sale.

Luighi, a graduate of the club’s Academy, is under contract until December 2029 but has yet to cement a place in the first team.
This season he has featured in 18 of the club’s 38 matches, starting only four.
In total, he has made 45 senior appearances for Palmeiras.
