Palmeiras ended January having passed a quarter of their 2026 economic rights sales target, set at R$ 399.6 million.
According to Globo.com, the sale of Jhon Jhon by Red Bull Bragantino to Zenit delivered R$ 23.04 million to the club, reflecting their 20 per cent stake. For budgeting, Palmeiras do not include FIFA’s solidarity mechanism.
The biggest sale so far has been Facundo Torres to Austin FC for R$ 50 million, followed by Aníbal Moreno’s move to River Plate worth R$ 38.7 million.
An unexpected windfall came from Breno Lopes. Sold to Coritiba for R$ 15 million at the end of 2025, Palmeiras collected R$ 7.5 million due to their 50 per cent share.
The tally could still rise in this window, with Luighi attracting interest at home and abroad. In the academy, defender Thiago Pimenta has also been monitored, including by Udinese.
Higher profile names such as Flaco López and Vitor Roque are being protected by the board, and any talks would take place only after the World Cup. Both players could feature at the tournament and increase their value.
In 2025, Palmeiras sold more than R$ 700 million in economic rights, boosted by deals involving Estêvão, Richard Ríos and Vitor Reis.
