Coming of their first loss of the season in Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain made the short trip to London to face Mikel Arteta's Arsenal in the first-leg of their Champions League semi-final at the Emirates Stadium on April 29.
For this game, Luis Enrique aligned his usual starting line-up with Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, and Kvaratskhelia leading PSG's front line while Bradley Barcola starts on the bench. Additionally, Fabian Ruiz, Joao Neves and Vitinha will composed the midfield. Meanwhile Nuno Mendes, and Achraf Hakimi will be at the full-back positions and Pacho will partner Marquinhos in Paris' backline and will protect Donnarumma.
As for Arsenal, Mikel Arteta will have to do without Thomas Partey who is suspended and replaced by Mikel Merino in midfield while Trossard will lead their offensive line.
Paris Saint-Germain's starting XI:Donnarumma; Pacho, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, Hakimi; Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, Joao Neves; Doué, Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia.
Luis Enrique and his side took down Arsenal 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium in the first-leg of their Champions League semi-final as Dembélé scored early.
Just three minutes inside the crucial game, Ousmane Dembélé fired PSG ahead on the night after a great combination with Kvaratskhelia (3'). The Frenchman recorded his eight goal of the Champions League campaign, his 29th of the season.
After 25 minutes in this game, Luis Enrique's side was in complete control, winning the midfield battle as the Gunners failed to create any serious opportunities. Just before the end of the first half, Donnarumma put up a wonderful save to deny Martinelli from close range as the hosts became increasingly more dangerous in the last 15 minutes.
As both sides went into the halftime break, the Gunners looked more in control of the game putting Paris on the back foot as the first half ended.
Following a lenghty VAR check, Arsenal's goal was disallowed for offside as Merino thought to have level the score (46'). Once again, Donnarumma provided a wonderful save against Trossard to keep his team in the lead (55').
The Gunners controlled the game for the majority of the second half but came against a very good keeper in Donnarumma. In the last 10 minutes of the game, Bradley Barcola and Goncalo Ramos missed golden opportunities to double their side's lead in this game but failed to convert their chances.
