RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande has said Paris Saint-Germain is a team he has 'loved since he was a child' amid speculation of transfer interest from France.
Diomande has emerged as one of the hottest properties in European football after an outstanding breakout season in Leipzig.
The 19-year-old scored 12 goals and assisted eight more in theBundesliga, as Leipzig secured Champions League qualification.
The winger's performances have attracted transfer interest from Europe's top teams, with PSG,Liverpool, and Manchester City all considering bids this summer.
Leipzig are under no pressure to sell the teenager this summer and value Diomande at around €100m.
Liverpool are understood to have identified Diomande as their top target to replace Mohamed Salah, but face a fight to convince the Ivorian to move thePremier League.
Speaking toL'Equipe, Diomande said Paris Saint-Germain are a team he has long admired and added that it would be a 'pleasure' to play at the Parc des Princes.
“Paris Saint-Germain is a team I’ve loved since I was a child. My father supports Paris Saint-Germain, and it’s a team I admire as a football fan”, he said.
“It would be a pleasure for me to come and play here with one of the biggest clubs. It’s always a pleasure to come here because, with French being spoken, I think adapting wouldn’t be difficult. But why not?”.
Speaking further on his future, Diomande told Telefoot that his current focus is on a successful World Cup campaign with the Ivory Coast.
“I don’t think I’m looking ahead to the future or focusing on anything else. As I’ve said, I remain focused on the World Cup. After that, the clubs will sort things out between themselves and we’ll see what happens next."
