Pedro Lima hails 'very good meeting' on Wolves return before Premier League run in | OneFootball

Pedro Lima says his January return to Molineux has come at the right time, with the £8.4m full back still short of starts, and he may stay next season.

“I came back in January which was good timing. I arrived back and had a very good meeting with Rob [Edwards], and I like the training we have now.” He was speaking to the club’s website.

“I like the staff, the team, everybody likes each other. We have good jokes, we all enjoy training. Training is really good, I improve every session which is important.”

The 2024 signing made six substitute appearances in his first campaign, spent the first half of this season with Porto B, then was recalled in January. Since returning he has had a handful of outings from the bench and is unlikely to dislodge a starter before the season ends.

Wolves were still struggling when he came back, but results have since turned. Wins over Villa and Liverpool and draws with Arsenal and Brentford mean there is something to play for in the run-in, even though they are likely heading for the Championship.

“Yes, it was a really good time, some really good wins. We know all games in the Premier League are very important, but those games against Liverpool and Aston Villa were really important, and good timing for our position in the table at the end of the season. Now we have more games that we need to play like we did in those games.”
