Peñarol have officially said goodbye to right-back Pedro Milans, who is in São Paulo to finalise a move to Corinthians. The Brazilian club await medical clearance before confirming the signing.
The Uruguayan side also bid farewell on social media to Jaime Báez, Damián Suárez, Héctor Villalba, Brayan Cortés and Gastón Silva. The club said in a statement that it wished each player success in their next challenges.
Milans, 23, made 112 appearances for Peñarol between 2022 and 2025, scoring three times and supplying eight assists. He won both the national league and cup, and featured in the Copa Sudamericana and Copa Libertadores. He previously played for Juventud in Uruguay.
After terminating his contract with Peñarol, Milans quickly reached an agreement with Corinthians, with the deal pushed forward quietly.
Once registered, he will compete with Matheuzinho for the right-back spot under Dorival Júnior. The squad also includes 19-year-old João Vitor Jacaré, while last season centre-backs Félix Torres, who is in talks to leave, and Cacá filled in on occasion.
