West Ham appear to be finally learning their lesson on striker targeting as we head into the summer transfer window.
It’s of course no secret that our forward recruitment has been shockingly bad over the years, with the club usually overpaying on players in a desperate manner, which usually means we sign players that simply do not fit what we need.
Now it seems that finally the penny has dropped, which is to do out homework and target the right player and don’t go in panic mode as we usually do.
Yoane Wissa of Brentford is understood to be a player who has been presented to the club, however West Ham have rejected the chance as they feel that being 29 years of age, we are not keen to exploring a potential deal.
Wissa is of course an excellent player and one who has done very well for the Bees. Despite that, he’s past his best and certainly not a player that offers value for money.
