Various people told one current Chelsea player not to join the club, but he ignored that advice and decided to go there anyway, and the rest as they say, is history

Well, we are not quite there yet I guess, but it might soon head that way. Because his signing has been somewhat of a success so far at least.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea’s transfer plans for new full backs revealed!!

Cole Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City well over a year ago now, and as he begins his second season as a Chelsea player, things have certainly been going well so far and it looks like he made a very good decision in the end despite being told not to go there.

Palmer has become the Chelsea talisman, and in recent weeks, pundits and outlets have ran out of words to describe just how good he is and the impact he has made in a Chelsea shirt.

Palmer speaks on making the move

Palmer has made a great impact at Chelsea

Reflecting on his decision to join the Blues, Palmer told ITV: “How do I look back on leaving Man City? Yeah, it was a gamble because I didn’t know what I was going into, I didn’t know the club I was going into.

“I had people telling me, don’t go here, don’t go there. But I just decided what I wanted to do myself and did it.

“To move clubs, it changed my life. In many different ways, leaving Manchester where I grew up, getting away from people I didn’t need to be around. And the football as well obviously.”

I’m not surprised he had people saying do not go to Chelsea at the time. It wasn’t a great feeling around the club during that moment, but since then things have started to get much better, especially going into this season and the good start they have had.
