Leeds United were among all 20 Premier League clubs to unanimously back a two-season extension of the £30 away-ticket cap, the Premier League said in a statement that also cited away attendances rising from 82% to 91% since 2016 and noted the extra travel costs fans face, including public transport and petrol.
The price ceiling has been in place for the last 10 Premier League seasons and keeps adult away tickets at no more than £30, with this vote set to take it to 12 consecutive campaigns.
Leeds already applied the same £30 limit during the 2024/25 Championship season, aligning with top-flight policy.
In 2023/24, Elland Road chiefs pursued a reciprocal pricing initiative by contacting Championship rivals to keep tickets affordable. Many accepted, though Coventry City were among those to oppose it.
If Leeds remain a Premier League club beyond the summer, travelling supporters will not face matchday ticket price rises under the extended cap.
