West Bromwich take on Leicester City at The Hawthorns this Friday night in the Championship, with kick-off at 20:00 live on Sky Sports Football.

The Baggies sit seventh in the table with 10 points to their name, though they come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Middlesbrough in their last outing.

Leicester, meanwhile, occupy fourth spot with 11 points. Martí Cifuentes’ side were held to a goalless draw against Coventry City last time out.

When the two sides last met, it was the Foxes who edged it 2-1.

The Fan Zone

AllAlbionFans (AllAlbionFans): A tough game to call. I expect the Foxes to finish quite a few places ahead of us, but we’re at home and they haven’t hit their stride yet.

We’re in a run of five away games in seven and it’s always tough on the road so the two home games against Leicester City and Preston North End could be crucial.

After two defeats, some would see a draw as stopping the rot whereas others will see it as two points dropped.

The bookies have us as the slight favourites, but I can’t choose in this one. Unfortunately, Leicester have won seven of the last eight meetings and previous runs have continued this season. Positively against Stoke and against us with Derby and Boro.

I think this is the hardest starting line-up to predict for us all season. Johnston will come back in but Taylor, Gilchrist, Collyer and Maja are other viable changes.

Prediction: 1-1

Stephen Gillett (Playmakerstats): Optimism is growing for Leicester fans under Marti Cifuentes.

The Foxes haven't hit top form yet under their new Spanish manager, but they are unbeaten in four, most recently holding Coventry City - the division’s top scorers - to a goalless draw. That followed a 2-2 result at Oxford United where the Foxes showed resilience having been reduced to 10 men as early as the 24th minute.

Cifuentes’ main challenge now is unlocking more consistent output from his forwards. Jordan Ayew has only one goal in six appearances through the middle, while Patson Daka remains without a Championship strike after 140 minutes on the pitch.
