Prosecutor Cássio Conserino has outlined investigations into former Corinthians presidents Duilio Monteiro Alves and Andrés Sanchez. This week a São Paulo court made Duilio a defendant after an MP-SP complaint.
"To await the judge’s position on the complaint against Duilio, in which I am also a party, to decide whether I will appeal or not. And to address two specific points, cash advances and the possible issuance of false invoices," Conserino said, speaking to Central do Timão.
"These two subjects run in parallel in two or three procedures. The most advanced so far concerns cash advances, involving Duilio’s administration and that of Andrés Sanchez," he added.
Duilio is accused of using the club’s corporate credit card for personal expenses during 2021 to 2023.
MP-SP also sought precautionary measures, including freezing assets, denying access to club premises and contact with witnesses, suspending membership, travel limits and possible electronic monitoring, plus the lifting of banking and tax secrecy.
Judge Elaine Cristina Pulcineli Vieira Gonçalves rejected several of these steps, including an asset freeze, the lifting of banking and tax secrecy and precautionary measures, citing no demonstrated risk at this stage. Separately, Duilio has been removed from club activities, including the Conselho de Orientação.
The matter links to other corporate card inquiries. In October 2025, former president Andrés Sanchez was charged by MP-SP over alleged irregular use between 2018 and 2020, tied to about R$ 480,000 in personal expenses.
