The summer transfer window has come and gone but that doesn’t mean clubs aren’t keeping an eye on targets for the winter transfer window. Barcelona have several players on their radar, including a PSG player to help boost a key area in their squad.

Under Luis Enrique, PSG have leaned on that depth to win consecutive Ligue 1 titles, the Coupe de France, the UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup, rotating players to keep them fresh across multiple competitions.

Not every player is satisfied with a rotational role, though. Some want more consistent minutes, and one player that was rumored to want a departure from the Parisians was Lucas Beraldo.

Mundo Deportivo’s Ferran Martínez reports that Barcelona sporting advisor Deco is keeping a close eye on several defenders.

The list includes Gonçalo Inácio of Sporting, Murillo of Nottingham Forest, Agustín Benedetti of Palmeiras, Marc Guéhi of Crystal Palace, and Lucas Beraldo of PSG.

When it comes to Beraldo, he had a challenging FIFA Club World Cup final against Chelsea as the Premier League side secured a dominant 3-0 win to lift the trophy. After that loss, L’Equipe reported that the Brazilian wanted out of the French capital.

In July, Fichajes reported that Manchester United see real value in Beraldo’s youth and believe he still has room to grow, especially in a different setting away from the intense media spotlight at PSG.

It will be interesting to see if the Spanish side or a Premier League club like Manchester United can lure the Brazilian out of the French capital.
