PSG not considering last-ditch attempt to sign Real Madrid-bound attacker – report | OneFootball

The future of Yan Diomande is currently the biggest talking point in European football.

The RB Leipzig winger is widely expected to join Real Madrid heading into the new season, but the two clubs are yet to reach a final agreement.

Diomande’s supposed move to Santiago Bernabeu was a major defeat to PSG, who were in pole position to sign the Ivorian earlier in the year.

Diomande move ruled out for PSG

Transfer expert Fabrice Hawkins has now offered an update on the Diomande saga, adding that PSG no longer consider a move for the Leipzig forward.

This comes on the back of reports in recent hours, which had claimed that PSG are making a last-ditch effort to hijack Real Madrid’s deal to sign the player.

It must be remembered that PSG weren’t too happy at missing out on Diomande earlier, even throwing shade to the Spanish club.

But it appears the reigning European champions have moved on from the saga and consider the case closed. They will not attempt to make a late move for Diomande.

Reliable journalists have reported that Real Madrid and RB Leipzig are yet to agree on a deal, but the final agreement is very close.

There is not much difference between what Leipzig are expecting and what Real Madrid are willing to offer, meaning it could only be a matter of time before the transfer is announced.

Once it is announced, Diomande is expected to arrive at the Spanish capital to complete his medical and start training under Jose Mourinho as soon as possible.

With Diomande expected to join, Mourinho will face an interesting challenge of putting him, Vinicius Jr. and Kylian Mbappe in the same team, now that Real Madrid have also ruled out the sale of the Brazilian superstar, amid interest from Arsenal.
