QPR youngster Daniel Bennie has attracted loan interest from League One clubs amid a lack of game time in the Championship.

Queens Park Rangers winger Daniel Bennie has attracted loan interest from a host of League One clubs amid the January transfer window.

Pete O'Rourke revealed via X that the Australia Under-20 international, who is a star performer for the R's Development Squad, could depart West London this month, in favour of a loan move to the third tier.

Bennie has notched an impressive return of seven goals and three assists in just nine appearances for the QPR Development Squad this season, but he has not featured in the Championship since last season.

The 19-year-old demonstrated his eye for goal at a high level when he scored two goals in three Under-20 World Cup outings for Australia back in October.

Stevenage

League One clubs are reportedly interested in the QPR starlet's services, and Stevenage should put themselves firmly in that mix, to keep pace with the play-off places.

Despite failing to win any of their last four third-tier games, Alex Revell's men remain just two points adrift of sixth-place Stockport County, fifth-place Bolton Wanderers, and fourth-place Huddersfield Town.

Stevenage have every chance of landing a top-six spot due to the tight nature of this season's League One table, and the signing of Bennie would breathe youthful energy into their attack.

The teenager's dynamic wing play would complement the attacking output of assets such as Jamie Reid and former Ipswich Town ace Jordan Roberts.

Plymouth Argyle

Plymouth Argyle have endured a tough League One season so far, despite their aspirations to achieve promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking.

Although they earned a comprehensive 3-0 win over Burton Albion on Sunday, the Pilgrims remain just 16th in the third tier, having earned just 30 points from 25 games.

However, all is not lost for Argyle, who enjoyed three league wins in December, and are just nine points below the playoffs despite their relatively lowly position.

Tom Cleverley's chances of guiding the Devon outfit up the League One table would be enhanced if Plymouth acquired the loan services of Bennie, who made 12 Championship appearances for QPR last term.

Walsall

Walsall should not be put off by the fact that third-tier clubs have registered their interest in Bennie, as the Saddlers vie to return to League One for the first time since relegation in 2019.

Mat Sadler's men must do all they can in the January transfer window to ensure that they beat competitors such as Salford City and MK Dons to League Two's third and final automatic promotion spot.

Walsall currently benefit from the attacking services of Daniel Kanu, who has scored 10 goals in 20 fourth-tier appearances, and the 21-year-old could become even more prolific if Bennie joins the West Midlands club.

The Saddlers were hurt by last season's events, which saw them drop out of the automatic promotion spots and fail to return to League One via the play-offs.

Bennie's presence could help Sadler's men avoid similar heartache.
