According to L'Équipe, Raheem Sterling has yet to secure a Dutch work permit, an administrative issue that means the Feyenoord squad will train in Belgium.

On Sunday, Robin Van Persie’s side won 1-0 in the league with a goal in the 90+2, with Sterling watching from the stands and unavailable for selection.

The England international, capped 82 times with 20 goals, joined the Eredivisie leaders last week after terminating his Chelsea contract.

Without the permit he cannot train with the squad in the Netherlands, so sessions have been relocated to Tubize for the next three days to aid his integration and build cohesion.

Sterling, 31, has not played since May 2025, and his return is expected to take a little longer.
