Barcelona delivered a statement performance in their 6-1 victory over Olympiacos last night, with Marcus Rashford stealing the spotlight once again.
The English forward scored twice, taking his tally to four goals in three Champions League appearances this season.
His recent form has been a massive boost for Hansi Flick’s side, especially with injuries forcing tactical adjustments in the attack.
Rashford, who played as a centre forward due to the team’s injury issues, was quick to share his thoughts after the game.
“I prefer to play as a winger, but in the end, I can play anywhere to help the team,” he explained following the emphatic win.
Reflecting on the performance, the 27-year-old highlighted the team’s composure and maturity.
“In the second half, we resolved it with patience and by building our play. It was a good match, and we’re ready,” he said.
While the victory over Olympiacos strengthens Barcelona’s European campaign, all eyes are now on the upcoming El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Rashford did not hide his excitement about facing Real Madrid for the first time in a Barcelona shirt.
“The game against Madrid is important, that’s why I came. I’m looking forward to it,” he declared with confidence.
Meanwhile, Alejandro Balde’s return to top form was another major positive from the night. The young left-back provided an assist and looked sharp throughout the contest.
After the final whistle, he reflected on the team’s display: “I think we played well. Even before the red card, we were doing well.
“Winning is always important; it gives us a lot of confidence, especially when the difference on the scoreboard is clear,” he said, adding,
“I’m very happy with the victory and the three points, especially with Dro. I’m proud and happy.”
Looking ahead to Sunday’s showdown, Balde shared his enthusiasm. “I’m really looking forward to the Clasico, it’s a special game.
“I hope we can win it, but the most important thing is who wins the three points. I think we have a good feeling about El Clasico, but it doesn’t matter which team is in better form.
“Anything can happen in this game,” he noted.
