Real Betis want Real Madrid star this summer | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at Real Madrid is in the sights of La Liga rivals Real Betis with a view to the 2026/27 campaign.

The Blancos star in question? Fran García.

Left-back Fran is for his part widely expected to be on the move before the summer is out. Following the arrival of Marc Cucurella at the Bernabéu, the 26-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements.

Held in high regard across the Spanish football landscape, Fran, in turn, is expected to be the subject of widespread interest.

And as alluded to above, late this week, the identity of one of the Spaniard’s many suitors has been revealed.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano, citing the reliable Jose Felix Diaz, Real Betis have already gone as far as to make contact with their Real Madrid counterparts, to gather information on a potential deal for Fran:

‘Fran García could leave Real Madrid this summer and Real Betis are keen on the left-back. Initial talks took place to ask for deal conditions.’
