After being released by the French national team staff due to a "right ankle inflammation", the Real Madrid striker returned to full team training this Friday, as shown in images shared by the club. This is great news for Los Merengues, especially after his absence with Les Bleus and his trip to Dubai had sparked widespread criticism.

Some even suspected a diplomatic injury, as the French international did not undergo any medical examinations upon his return to Madrid. But internally, there was never any concern. The Madrid club believes that Mbappé simply benefited from a timely rest and that there was "nothing serious" regarding his ankle discomfort.

Present alongside Jude Bellingham during today's training session, the French captain appears to be fully recovered. The only question now is whether Xabi Alonso will select him for the trip to Elche on Sunday. One thing is certain: at Real Madrid, they insist that Mbappé's ankle is "not an issue" at all.
