Vinicius Jr.’s future at Real Madrid has become one of the club’s biggest unresolved issues, with contract negotiations reaching a difficult stage.
Although the Brazilian winger has been a cornerstone of the team in recent seasons, talks over a new deal have slowed significantly.
Now, according to journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon (h/t Bernabeu Digital), the gap between the two parties remains considerable, and the optimism that surrounded negotiations a few months ago has faded.
Real Madrid have already submitted several contract offers to the player’s representatives, but none has received a formal response.
There is still a significant difference between what the Brazilian winger’s camp is demanding and what Los Blancos are offering.

Club officials believe the situation cannot continue indefinitely and have established a deadline in an effort to resolve the matter.
Negotiations are expected to resume once the World Cup concludes.
Given the situation, Real Madrid are now preparing for multiple possible outcomes.
If the two sides remain far apart after negotiations resume, the club is willing to seriously consider selling Vinicius this summer rather than risk allowing him to enter the final stages of his contract and leave for free in 2027.
In fact, the report suggests that Real Madrid would even be prepared to facilitate a transfer by financially compensating the player for part of the signing bonus he could otherwise receive if he left as a free agent when his contract expires in 2027.

Vinícius is regarded as one of the team’s leaders and one of the world’s top players, but the club is determined to avoid repeating situations experienced by other European giants who allowed key players to approach free agency without reaching an agreement.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez maintains a very good relationship with Vinicius and considers his renewal a priority. And if he wishes to, the matter can be resolved with an offer matching the player’s demands.
However, the club do not wish to be held hostage by the player’s camp and are standing firm on the offer they have sent. So, if there is no agreement after the World Cup, all options are on the table.
The coming weeks are expected to be decisive. For the first time in several years, Vinicius’ long-term future at the Santiago Bernabeu can no longer be considered guaranteed, with both player and club facing important decisions once contract talks resume after the World Cup.
