The Santiago Bernabeu is already one of the world’s most technologically advanced stadiums in the world and has features that few other venues across the globe can boast of.

Florentino Perez and Co., however, do not plan to stop with the external renovation but wish to take the stadium a step forward by integrating it deeper with the technological boom concurrently taking the world by storm.

Their idea is to help fans at home get a stadium-like experience watching games, and the technology of virtual reality helps bring that dream closer to a reality.

Los Blancos, thus, have partnered with Apple to make an elite level system that can recreate the Bernabeu on VR to a life-like capacity.

Perez flags off the project

In a recent exclusive documentary released exclusively for Apple Vision Pro, Florentino Perez spoke alongside Apple’s vice president of services Eddy Cue and officially announced the launch of the Infinite Bernabeu project that aims to bring a stadium-like experience to millions of fans across the globe.

“We are developing a new Virtual Reality project for the Bernabeu,” he said.

“Every fan around the world can literally feel like he’s watching the game right at the Bernabeu,” he added, explaining the basic idea.

Elaborating on how this would be a revolutionary collaboration for the world of sport, the club president said,

“This will mark a defining moment in sports history, it’s never been done before.”

Perez then spoke on how he took inspiration from the founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, to always push for excellence over financial returns.

“Steve Jobs wasn’t obsessed with financial results, he was obsessed with creating extraordinary products.”

“When you focus on excellence, the rest comes naturally,” he added.

Perez then spoke on how millions of Real Madrid fans can benefit from the upcoming Infinite Bernabeu project and enjoy a stadium-like experience from the comfort of their home.

“There’s a billion Real Madrid fans, and our priority is to give them the experience they want.”

“Every fan that comes to the Bernabeu must feel like they’re living something unique, and technology is helping us do exactly that,” he added.

The internet has made the world a smaller place, and Real Madrid’s latest collaboration shows how much more of an impact it can have on our lives. Perez reiterated that the internet, as he saw it, was made for Real Madrid to capitalise on as they are.

“I said many years ago, that the internet was created for Real Madrid.”

“I said it because I knew that the internet would connect our fans to each other and allow them to follow us from anywhere in the world. That vision still stands today,” he added.

In the end, he revealed the name of the project once more and signed off by speaking on how it was a dream come true to bring it to life.

“Our project is titled ‘Infinite Bernabeu.’ This is a project we’ve been working on with Apple for many years, and it will be like opening the doors of the Bernabeu to the entire planet, with zero limits.”

“It will feel exactly the same as being here,” he insisted.
