Real Madrid are gearing up for an important summer ahead.

There is a strong possibility the club may finish the season without any trophy, which could alter the future of Alvaro Arbeloa.

The club’s hierarchy is already looking for several managerial options, including Jurgen Klopp and Zinedine Zidane, but neither of these options are realistic at the moment.

Real Madrid are considering a move for Deschamps

According to RMC Sport (h/t Defensa Central), Real Madrid are looking for other alternatives in the market, with Didier Deschamps being one of them.

The report suggests the name of Deschamps is gaining strong traction within the Real Madrid camp. He is rated highly due to his ability to manage egos, having managed a series of top players in the French national team.

Under his leadership, France have both the World Cup and the UEFA Nations League, establishing Les Bleus as the most feared international football team in the process.

Deschamps’ ability to unite a series of star players and make them play as a cohesive unit is something that could be valued in a Real Madrid setup.

Not to mention, the Frenchman has a strong connection with the team’s star player, Kylian Mbappe, who is reportedly having a difficult time thriving under Alvaro Arbeloa’s methods.

Deschamps is expected to leave the France NT job after the coming World Cup, and will be replaced by former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.

The door, therefore, is open for Los Blancos to make a move for the French tactician, whose experience and leadership could be invaluable in leading a Real Madrid team that may go trophyless for the second season in a row.
