Real Madrid endured a tough return to training on Tuesday after their Copa del Rey final loss as three players were confirmed to be injured and ruled out for an extended period.
Indeed, Antonio Rudiger, David Alaba, and Ferland Mendy have all been ruled out for the rest of the La Liga campaign, with the latter even unlikely to return for the FIFA Club World Cup.
With injuries impacting the squad and the whole Carlo Ancelotti – Brazil saga hanging over the heads, the mood in Wednesday’s training session might not have been the best.
On top of that, as reported by Mundo Deportivo, two of Real Madrid’s most important players, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr., did not train with the rest of the squad today.
Indeed, the Merengues’ attacking duo worked inside the Valdebebas facilities on a personalised training programme under the watchful eye of physical trainers, away from the rest of the group.

It must be noted that Mbappe had been injured not long ago and only made his return on Saturday against Barcelona, featuring as a second-half substitute. The Frenchman had trained indoors on Tuesday as well.
Vinicius, meanwhile, sustained a knock in the same game as Real Madrid lost 2-3 in the Copa del Rey final.
Despite their absence from training, the belief is that both Mbappe and Vinicius will be fit and available for Real Madrid’s La Liga clash against Celta Vigo this coming Sunday.
However, the champions will be without Rudiger, Mendy, Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Carvajal, and Eder Militao for the contest.
