According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Real Murcia will shortly name Pedro León Sánchez Gil as club president.
The decision has been agreed with Felipe Moreno. It comes in a week when the club suffered another legal setback, with a court admitting Málaga’s request for compulsory insolvency proceedings.

Pedro León said last summer that this campaign would be his final one as a player and that he would remain at the club in a new capacity.
Everything is in place and an official announcement is expected next week, while Moreno will continue as the major shareholder.
It is not yet known whether Pedro León will continue as part of the squad or focus solely on the presidency.
