Serie A giants Inter Milan have reportedly seen their opening bid for Moussa Diaby turned down by Al-Ittihad.
According to RMC Sport via FCInter1908, Inter’s loan offer has faleln short of the Saudi Pro League outfit’s expectations.
Moussa Diaby has emerged as a concrete target for the Nerazzurri amid the club’s ongoing pursuit of Denzel Dumfries successor.
Furthermore, the player has already discussed a move to San Siro with Inter manager Cristian Chivu, agreeing to join the Serie A leaders.
However, Inter must persuade Al-Ittihad to greenlight the transfer.

Al-Ittihad parted with €60 million to lure the French winger to the desert in the summer of 2024.
Therefore, they’re now expecting to receive the same figure to paid Aston Villa around 18 months ago.
Meanwhile, Inter had hoped to sign the 26-year-old on loan with a €35 million buyout option.
Unfortunately, the Saudis have deemed the Nerazzurri’s proposal insufficient.
Though Inter can rely on the player’s desire to join, they’ll likely need to increase their bid if they’re to get the deal over the line.
