In an interview on Sport1, Bayern Munich boss Uli Hoeneß opened up about the last-minute deal secured for on loan Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson and revealed some inside information.

The €65million purchase option for Jackson would only become binding "if he starts 40 games. He never does that," the honorary president said, on the TV show.

According to the TZ, however, this isn't believed to be entirely true. The club-affiliated newspaper mentions not only starting appearances in the agreement.

Every game in which the Senegalese striker plays for at least 45 minutes (excluding stoppage time) also brings Bayern closer to a purchase commitment, the report states.

Essentially, if the Blues loanee is substituted before or at the beginning of the second half, his appearance counts as a starting spot and thus towards the purchase clauses.

The report adds that if the Senegalese striker starts a match, his length of playing time is irrelevant and will be automatically counted towards the 40 required games.

However, TZ believes it is “highly unlikely” that the summer signing is planned as an all-rounder for the attack until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, the Münchner Merkur tips a restructure Bayern's formation from the traditional 4-2-3-1 system to a potential 4-4-2 formation at times – with Harry Kane and Nicolas Jackson as the two-man strikeforce.
