Rwanda national team head coach Adel Amrouche has hinted at rotating his team against Bafana Bafana at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday.
Unlike Bafana, Amavubi are no longer in contention to seal a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making their penultimate Group C match a dead rubber.
Rwanda head into the encounter sitting in fifth place, having accumulated 11 points from nine World Cup qualifying outings.
When quizzed on whether he will be looking to hand fringe players game time, Amrouche admitted to relishing the opportunity to see squad players in action against a formidable opponent.
“We arrived in this game with other goals and it's true that we are going to have changes in the team, to give other players time to play also because it's a very good game for them,” said the Algerian mentor.
"Also, it's a good opportunity to see some players in a game like tomorrow [Tuesday] against a very good team. It's a chance for them and also good for us to have opinions about these players.
On the other hand, Hugo Broos will undoubtedly field a strong starting XI in a bid to clinch maximum points and keep their World Cup dream alive.
Bafana need a win in Mpumalanga, while hoping bitter rivals Nigeria keep Benin at bay at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
