Santos returned to work on Friday morning at CT Rei Pelé after their 2-1 win over Vasco, with Juan Pablo Vojvoda overseeing the session. According to Diario Do Peixe, the run-out marked the squad’s formal reassembly.
The starters from the match stayed indoors for gym-based recovery work. The remaining players trained on the pitch with technical and physical drills set by the staff.
Knocked out of the Campeonato Paulista last weekend, Santos now have 11 days before their next Campeonato Brasileiro game. The gap gives scope to refine physical conditioning, tactics and collective organisation.
They face Mirassol on 10 March, a Tuesday, at 21:30 Brasília time at Estádio José Maria de Campos Maia, in the fifth round of the national competition.
At present the club have no players in the medical department, allowing Vojvoda to work with a full group.
The victory over Vasco lifted the Peixe off the bottom to 13th in the Brasileiro table. They have 4 points from 4 rounds, with one win, one draw and two defeats.
