Celtic are delighted to announce that Morgan Cross has signed a new two-year contract which will see her remain at the club until 2028.The 25-year-old forward, who joined Celtic from Motherwell back in 2024, has been an important part of the Hoops squad, and last month she scored the goal which won the Scottish Cup for the Hoops as they beat Rangers 1-0 at Hampden.
Her overall contribution to the season was also recognised by her team-mates, who voted her their Player of the Year at the club’s annual awards event.
Morgan has made 60 appearances for the Hoops so far, scoring 22 goals including 16 this season, while she has also contributed 11 assists in the current campaign.Speaking to the official Celtic website, Morgan Cross said: “I’m incredibly happy. I’ve really been enjoying my time here, so it felt like a no-brainer to extend.
'Your football career’s short, so you want to be somewhere you’re enjoying it and happy, and I am here, so I definitely wanted to stay.'
“Playing Champions League was a big highlight and I want to continue challenging for trophies here and building on the cup win. I'm looking forward to the next couple of years competing at the highest level.
"Winning the Players ’Player of the Year award means a lot to me. I love all my team-mates so much, so getting recognised by them for my work that I put in here is special."
Celtic FC Women’s Head Coach, Grant Scott said: “We’re delighted Morgan has decided to commit her future here.
"As you can see from her impact in the cup final and overall performances this season, she’s a big part of what we want to build on here as a team.
"She capped a great season off by being named Players' Player of the Year which shows how important she is to her team-mates and is a credit to the hard work she’s put in since arriving.”
