Sidny Cabral was decisive again for Cape Verde against Finland, the Benfica No 15 supplied an assist and converted his kick in the shootout.
Cape Verde prevailed on penalties, scoring four of five, while Finland netted two of four. ESPN reported he was again influential and also highlighted the senior debut of Ayoni Santos, the Sparta Rotterdam midfielder, for Cape Verde.

The result comes as Cape Verde step up preparations for their first ever appearance at a World Cup finals.
