Real Madrid are reportedly ready to pull out all stops to sign 16-year-old Mexican talent Gilberto Mora before Barcelona can make a move.
According to Real Madrid Confidencial, the Los Blancos have had their eye on Mora for weeks, following his impressive performances for Mexico’s national team in the Gold Cup.
The young midfielder has quickly made a name for himself, catching the attention of Europe’s elite clubs.
Mora is being compared to Barcelona star Pedri due to his technical ability, vision, and maturity on the ball.
His playing style, creativity, and composure for someone so young have convinced Real Madrid that he could develop into a future first-team regular.
The club believes securing him now would give them a head start in what could become a defining signing for the next generation.
Barcelona, of course, are also very active in South America and have shown interest in similar young talents.

Mora’s profile is exactly the type of player they usually target, making him a high-priority prospect for both clubs.
Despite the Blaugrana’s influence in the market, Real Madrid currently seem to have the edge, thanks in part to Mora’s agent, Rafaela Pimienta.
Reports suggest that Pimienta leans towards Real Madrid, citing their long-term project and the opportunity for Mora to develop alongside top-level talent.
The Mexican’s rapid rise has put him in the spotlight. His performances for the national team have confirmed his potential, and both Spanish giants now see him as a must-sign prospect.
Real Madrid’s proactive approach, combined with Mora’s personal preference for them, suggests that the club could complete this high-profile signing before Barcelona can react.
If the transfer goes through, it would mark another statement of intent by Florentino Perez, who continues to secure some of the most exciting young talents in world football.
