In goal, Daniel Peretz is backed for another big performance. James Bree will continue at right back if fit.

Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who captained against Arsenal and impressed at Wrexham, anchors central defence. Jack Stephens returned at Wrexham looking composed, though he struggled with Keiffer Moore.

Welington could come in at left back for Manning.

In midfield, Flynn Downes will be essential for this six-pointer and finished with aplomb for his Wrexham goal. Caspar Jander was rested and will play today ahead of Shea Charles, who may be benched.

In attack, Tom Fellows may keep Kuryu Matsuki out on the right, although selection is not merely based on form. Finn Azaz is usually trusted as the central creator.

On the left, Léo Scienza’s blistering Wrexham display strengthens his case, though fitness could limit his minutes. Saints fans should expect to see Sam Edozie warming up from about the 60th minute.

Cyle Larin leads the line after an excellent Wrexham outing and a deserved goal. Ross Stewart is the greater goal threat and is fancied to come on, dependent on his fitness, with Eckert wary of overplaying the Loch Ness Drogba after what happened earlier in the season at Derby.
