Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing two major attacking targets this summer, with Manchester City striker Omar Marmoush and Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo on their radar, according to Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club will look to sign both players or at least one of them as manager Roberto De Zerbi looks to bolster his frontline.
Marmoush, once dubbed a ‘special player’ by Pep Guardiola, is likely to look to leave Man City this summer having largely played second fiddle to Erling Braut Haaland.
The 27-year-old started eight times in the Premier League last season, coming off the bench 13 times to bag three goals and three assists.
Dominic Solanke is expected to lead the line for Spurs next season, but Marmoush can also play on the left wing.
It is a position the Lilywhites are desperate to strengthen in, and Gakpo also plays there.
The Netherlands international can also play centrally and on the right, and he could be available for sale this summer.
The £65 million-rated Gakpo could leave Liverpool if they sign RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, and Tottenham are one of the clubs monitoring his situation.
Spurs have signed four players – Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson, Jan Paul van Hecke and Martin Dubravka – so far this summer.
De Zerbi reportedly wants another four signings – two midfielders and two forwards – with Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali and West Ham United’s Matheus Fernandes the ones he is looking at to bolster his options in the middle of the park.
Tottenham are confident they already have verbal agreements with the duo to join them, but agreeing transfer fees with their respective clubs could prove tricky.
