Minor incident occurred on the M25 as Tottenham pair travelled to airport ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt trip in Champions League
Thomas Frank has confirmed that Tottenham duo Randal Kolo Muani and Wilson Odobert are both “fine” after a car accident on Tuesday afternoon.
Kolo Muani’s car is believed to have been involved in the crash that occurred on the M25 in Hertfordshire, with Odobert having been in a separate vehicle behind as they travelled to Stansted Airport ahead of Spurs’ Champions League trip to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Pictures circulated on social media of the duo standing on the side of the motorway next to a damaged black Ferrari that appeared to have its front-right tyre completely burned out, with Odobert understood to have pulled over to check on his team-mate.
The incident was described by Spurs boss Frank as “minor” in a pre-match press conference held in Frankfurt, with Kolo Muani and Odobert both set to join up with the squad in Germany later on Tuesday evening.
“Kolo Muani and Wilson Odobert are both fine,” Frank said. “They were unfortunately involved in a minor car accident. Everyone else involved is fine. It was a tyre blowing up. They will be travelling a little later tonight.”
Frank will be relieved to be able to call upon Kolo Muani and Odobert, with the Dane struggling for options across the pitch as Spurs look to seal automatic qualification for the Champions League knockout stages.
Defenders Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro will both be absent against Frankfurt, with Frank confirming that Porro is set to miss at least four weeks with a hamstring injury.
Porro came off at half-time during Spurs’ 2-2 draw with Burnley at the weekend, with Frank stating that they were trying to manage the right-back’s workload.
The Spaniard had started each of Spurs’ last 15 games across all competitions, but is now set to miss matches against Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle and Arsenal over the next month.

Frank offered a more positive update on Van de Ven, whom he said he hopes to have back against City this weekend.
“Pedro has a hamstring injury and will be out for four weeks,” Frank said. “Micky has something minor and hasn't travelled, but could be available for City.”
Asked to clarify the exact nature of Van de Ven’s injury, Frank confirmed that he had not suffered another hamstring issue.
“Just a minor thing,” he said. “Could be available for City. Not a hamstring.”
