St Mirren claim timely Pittodrie win as Phillips strikes late

St Mirren beat Aberdeen 2-0 at Pittodrie Stadium to halt a four-match losing run in the Scottish Premiership.
Richard King put the visitors ahead in the 42nd minute, turning in Jacob Devaney's cross after a set piece.
After the restart, Per Kristian Worre Braatveit kept The Dons in the contest with saves from Mikael Mandron and Killian Phillips. Ross Sinclair then denied Mitchel Frame at the other end.
Despite half time changes, The Dons' best chances fell to Kevin Nisbet, who headed over (46.) and later shot over (62.). Phillips sealed the points (80.), tapping in after Mandron's cross following another set piece.
The Dons saw more of the ball with 57.9% possession. St Mirren produced the greater threat, registering five shots on target from nine attempts.
