Sunderland loan calls as Patterson talks, Dan Neil nears exit and Tammy Abraham picture changes | OneFootball

Sunderland are weighing up outgoing loans and cover, with Anthony Patterson, Dan Neil and Tammy Abraham central to a decisive phase of the window.

According to Sunderland Echo, Millwall are in talks over a loan for Patterson, any agreement reliant on a replacement after a move for Jonas Omlin collapsed.

Dan Neil is close to a straight loan to Ipswich Town after his medical, which would run through the final six months of his deal. Arthur Masuaku is expected to depart in the coming days.

Abraham remains only loosely linked with Sunderland, though his situation has shifted. Besiktas have confirmed his Roma loan is now permanent, which could open a path back to the Premier League, with Aston Villa understood to hold interest.

Elsewhere, Millwall are close to signing Barry Bannan from Sheffield Wednesday, while Birmingham City expect Carlos Vicente to undergo a medical ahead of a £7million move from Deportivo Alaves. Swansea City have registered interest in Birmingham striker Kyogo Furuhashi. Nottingham Forest are preparing a £35million move for Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta and finalising a loan for Lorenzo Lucca from Napoli with an option to buy.

A verbal agreement has reportedly been reached for Lucas Paqueta to rejoin Flamengo from West Ham for about £35.8million. Fulham are close to a deal for Oscar Bobb and have bid £28million for PSV forward Ricardo Pepi, though PSV want a replacement first, while Arsenal remain in talks with Oleksandr Zinchenko amid Ajax interest.
