Sunderland ‘monitoring’ £15m Bodø/Glimt winger Jens Petter Hauge amid Leeds and Hull interest | OneFootball

Sunderland are reportedly monitoring £15m-rated Bodø/Glimt winger Jens Petter Hauge, with Leeds United and Hull City also interested ahead of the new season.

According to Ontheminute.com, the Black Cats have added the Norway international to their list of attacking targets. Bodø/Glimt are understood to value the 26-year-old at around £15m after he rebuilt his reputation back home.

Hauge has notable senior experience, having represented AC Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt and Gent across several European leagues. He would not necessarily be viewed as a long-term project, and could provide immediate know-how, versatility and European pedigree.

Naturally right-footed, he is most effective from the left, cutting inside to attack central areas and create chances. He can also operate in other attacking roles.

Sunderland are expected to assess multiple options as Régis Le Bris looks to strengthen his squad, with extra quality out wide likely to be a priority. Hauge’s adaptability could appeal, but Leeds and Hull remain in the frame, so the Black Cats may face competition if they choose to formalise their interest.
