Manchester City delivered a dominant performance on the road as they comfortably defeated Crystal Palace in their latest Premier League outing. The 3–0 win allowed Pep Guardiola’s side to once again close the gap on league leaders Arsenal, cutting the difference to just two points.

Phil Foden played a key role in the victory, while Erling Haaland stole the spotlight with another clinical display in front of goal. The Norwegian striker scored twice, registering the 49th brace of his career across Europe’s top five leagues. In doing so, he moved ahead of club legend Sergio Agüero in this particular statistic.

What makes Haaland’s achievement even more remarkable is that he reached the milestone while representing both Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City. By contrast, Agüero’s total was built during his time at Manchester City, Atlético Madrid, and Barcelona.

Haaland’s scoring form this season continues to be relentless. He has already found the net 17 times in 16 Premier League appearances, while adding six goals in the Champions League. Those numbers take his overall club total for the current campaign to an impressive 23 goals across all competitions.
