Thomas Muller feels that a comeback against Inter Milan “wouldn’t be a miracle” from Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Speaking to German outlet ZDF, via FCInterNews, the 35-year-old argued that the Bavarians would just be “doing their job” by turning the tie around to go through to the semifinals.

Bayern Munich are currently behind the eight ball in their Champions League quarterfinal tie against Inter Milan.

The Nerazzurri won the first leg of the tie. They handed Bayern their first home defeat in the Champions League in over twenty matches.

Therefore, the German giants must travel to the San Siro in search of a win.

And that will be no mean feat for Bayern.

Inter already showed at the Allianz Arena that they are more than capable of going toe-to-toe with the German league leaders.

And the Nerazzurri have their own impressive home record in the Champions League.

The Nerazzurri haven’t tasted a European defeat at the San Siro in fourteen matches.

Thomas Muller: “Comeback Vs Inter Milan Wouldn’t Be A Miracle” For Bayern Munich

Veteran Bayern forward Thomas Muller gave his thoughts after Saturday’s Bundesliga draw with Borussia Dortmund.

“I see a team capable of getting to the next round of the Champions League,” he declared.

As far as a “miracle” comeback against Inter, Muller hit back: “We’d need to redefine our concept of a miracle.”

“Winning away by one or two goals would not be miraculous,” the 2014 World Cup winner said.

“It’s just Bayern doing its job.”

The 35-year-old made clear that “we need to play a good match.”

“One that would put us in a position to be ahead after ninety minutes.”

“A narrow win would take the tie to extra time,” noted Muller.
