Torino are considering Leeds United goalkeeper Lucas Perri this summer, Gianluca Di Marzio reports. The Serie A side are weighing up options for a new No 1 and Perri is among those under discussion.
Perri joined from Olympique Lyonnais in a £16m move last summer, arriving to take the No 1 shirt. A mixed first season ended with him behind Karl Darlow in the pecking order.
The 26-year-old started 16 Premier League matches, the last in January, after errors against Manchester United and Newcastle cost him his place. His four later outings came in the FA Cup.
Perri is said to feature on Torino’s list alongside former England international Aaron Ramsdale and Paraguayan Orlando Gill.
As it stands he is Leeds’ only senior goalkeeper. Darlow, Illan Meslier and Alex Cairns are no longer contracted, although an agreement is understood to have been reached with Cairns.
Leeds have offered Darlow a new deal, while Manchester United and Everton are also thought to have tabled proposals, with the Welsh international weighing up his options.
Meslier is due to join Premier League champions Arsenal, and further change could follow if Darlow departs. Leeds recruitment staff like Japan international Zion Suzuki, though talk in Italy of an active pursuit is thought to be wide of the mark.
Leeds may also monitor Manchester City’s goalkeeping ranks. Any move for James Trafford would be expensive, with the 23-year-old linked to a £40m valuation and strong competition.
