Torino ‘to target’ Leeds United goalkeeper Lucas Perri this summer | OneFootball

Leeds United goalkeeper Lucas Perri has emerged as a possible target for Torino this summer.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Serie A side have added the 26-year-old to a goalkeeper shortlist alongside Aaron Ramsdale and Paraguayan Orlando Gill.

Perri joined from Olympique Lyonnais in a £16m deal last summer, signed to take the No.1 spot before slipping behind Karl Darlow.

He started 16 Premier League games, the last in January after back-to-back mistakes against Manchester United and Newcastle. His four subsequent outings were in the FA Cup.

As things stand he is Leeds’ only senior goalkeeper under contract, with Darlow, Illan Meslier and Alex Cairns no longer tied to the club.

Leeds have been in talks with Darlow and have tabled a contract offer, while Manchester United and Everton are also believed to have made proposals as he weighs his options.

Meslier is due to join Premier League champions Arsenal. Should Darlow move on, Leeds face a summer of major change in goal.

Recruitment staff are assessing alternatives. Japan international Zion Suzuki is admired, though reports of an active pursuit are thought to be premature, and Manchester City’s James Trafford would be costly amid claims of a £40m price tag.
