Inter Milan’s pursuit of a new goalkeeper this summer centres firmly on Tottenham Hotspur’s Guglielmo Vicario, with recent links to Liverpool’s Alisson Becker significantly overstated

According to L’Interista, reports emerged in recent days suggesting Alisson was a priority target for Inter as they seek a long-term successor to the departing Yann Sommer.

L’Interista have moved to clarify the situation, insisting the club’s preferred option is a Premier League goalkeeper.

But instead one who is Italian, younger, and very different in profile to the experienced Brazilian.

Vicario, born in 1996 and currently at Spurs, fits that description precisely.

The Italy international is expected to leave Tottenham at the end of the season, and his own desire aligns with Inter’s, both parties want a return to Italy.

Inter’s hierarchy have long admired the former Udinese and Empoli stopper, and the feeling is mutual.
